Richard is the President & CEO of All Weather Windows and has been with the company since 2003. He has over 25 years experience in the Canadian window and door industry, many of them spent in senior management positions. Richard received an undergraduate degree from University of Western Ontario in 1986 and after graduation he started work in the construction industry as the Manager of a trailer manufacturer. He then left to join a large American building manufacturer and distributor, where he spearheaded the company’s geographic expansion and introduction of the window product category into Canada. He progressed through the corporation to General Manager and was part of a Canadian acquisition team where he pursued acquisition targets and oversaw the integration of newly acquired firms.
At All Weather Windows, he has introduced Lean Manufacturing, diversified into the commercial market segment in Alberta and expanded the geographic reach of the company with the addition of a factory in Ontario in 2006. During his spare time Richard enjoys ice and rock climbing, running and is an avid mountain climber having conquered a significant number of peaks around the world.
All Weather Windows is Canada’s largest privately owned window and door manufacturer. The company was founded in 1978 in a 10,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Edmonton, Alberta and has since expanded from coast to coast with 9 branches nationwide.
Today, All Weather Windows has two leading edge manufacturing plants with a combined capacity of nearly 400,000 square feet in Edmonton and Mississauga that produce a full range of award-winning window and door products for dealers, builders, contractors and homeowners.
